Working with and for young people in Cumbria
We are a Network of voluntary organisations working with and for young people in Cumbria.
“The Cumbria Youth Alliance will work with and through its members to represent the Voluntary Youth Work Sector and to help build the capacity of such organisations to deliver high quality services for young people.”
CYA is the strategic infrastructure body for the voluntary youth sector in Cumbria. Bridging the gap between the voluntary and the statutory sector and ensuring the needs and aspirations of the voluntary youth sector are given a voice locally – regionally and nationally. Our membership is open to any constituted organisation that works with and provides services to young people in Cumbria.( 5 – 25 years in age). We currently have approximately over 90 member organisations. We are a partner in the Youth Work in Cumbria Initiative.

- Customised Training for your Management Group or Trustees
- Access by email or phone to advice and guidance on a range of issues
- Help with Sport Development
- John Muir Leader Training and help with the John Muir Award
- Support for accreditation through Open College Network or Duke of Edinburgh
- Young people can access volunteering and work preparation programmes ]
- Young people can join Countywide Health Education projects
- Access to a range of training programmes
- Access to various bursaries ( dependant on funding)
All for a membership cost from £25.00 to £100,00
depending upon the size of your organisation
