Government Minister To Give Speech To Cumbria’s
Charitable and Voluntary Sector
On the 16th September, Nick Hurd MP, the Cabinet Office Minister with responsibility for Civil Society, will attend the opening of ‘Community House’, a new Living Well Trust Limited project on Raffles Avenue. At this celebration event, the Minister will give a speech to update those present on the Government’s plans and developing ideas for the Charitable and Voluntary Sector. Following his speech, the Minister has agreed to hold a question and answer session to listen to and address those areas of concern that exist in the Sector.

Including luncheon the event will commence at 11.00am and finish at approximately 1.00-1.30pm

This event is an excellent opportunity for the Charitable and Voluntary Sector of Cumbria to hear first hand from the Minister responsible for the Sector in a local setting and to be able to ask questions on Government Policy. This event is open for all from this Sector to send representatives to.

Should you wish to attend, please notify your interest by email on barrie@livingwelltrust.org.uk   Further details of this planned event will be notified closer to the time. (Of necessity this event is dependent upon the voting schedule of the House of Commons.)
