JOB TITLE: Youth Key Worker
REPORTS TO: Partnership Led by Groundwork Trust / Youth Manager Cumbria Youth Alliance
CONTRACT: 1 year fixed term (which may be extended)
HOURS: Full Time 37 hours per week
Salary £20,000 to £22.500 with pension + mileage allowance
Choices is an exciting new employment programme in Allerdale & Copeland funded by the Big Lottery and the European Social Fund until September 2019. Working in partnership with 12 voluntary and community sector delivery partners who are specialists in employment, financial and digital inclusion and volunteering, Choices will support 450 long term unemployed people into or towards employment. The partnership is led by Groundwork Trust and Cumbria Youth Alliance will focus on supporting and enabling young people within the multi agency partnership. Youth Key Workers will lead in the engagement of young people and young adults to develop positive working relationships that will enable them to achieve their potential. You will have significant experience of working with young people, young adults and employers in a similar job. You will have least two years experience of working with young people in multi agency settings and have a proven track record in achieving positive outcomes for the young people. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
