New Big Lottery Multi Agency 3 Year Project
Cumbria Youth Alliance seeks to appoint a suitable project worker for a new and exciting Big Lottery fixed term project focussing on improving young people’s emotional resilience in the coastal communities of Cumbria. You will have an interest or background in either youth work or in one to one early help support programmes and you will have an interest in working to improve emotional resilience amongst young people. You will be based in Workington but the project will cover Allerdale, Copeland and Barrow in Furness. This is an innovative project developed in partnership with Cumbria County Council, Active Cumbria, Public Health and NHS Partnership. The project will provide a range of positive activities to build emotional resilience and give young people confidence as they move towards adulthood. You will support the Project Manager in delivery and supporting other providers of services.
You will have experience of working with young people on youth led initiatives. We welcome secondments from partner agencies or from candidates wishing to job share. You must be able to travel independently and the job involves some evening and weekend work during the life of the project. The post is subject to enhanced DBS checks and the ability to provide suitable references, one of which must be your previous /current employer. A mileage allowance is paid and contributory pension scheme is in place.
