Friday Night Project

Cumbria Youth Alliance working in partnership with smaller youth providers in Allerdale oversees and delivers on a number of Friday Night Youth Work Programmes across Allerdale. These projects are designed to provide young people with access to positive activities on a Friday Night and to avoid being drawn into petty or persistent offending. All the clubs delivering on this contract have met the required youth work standards comply with the Code of Good Governance

Currently in the partnership are

  • NADT who are delivering in Silloth
  • Wigton Youth Station Aspatria Dreamscheme
  • Flimby Youth Club
  • Soundwave Town Centre Workington
  • South Workington Youth Partnership who deliver at these locations Clifton/Mossbay and Moorclose
  • Allerdale Activities Club who deliver at Moorclose and Salterbeck
  • Coming on stream 1st May 2017 Cockermouth Leisure Centre
  • Coming on stream 1st May 2017 Netherhall School Sports Facility


Cumbria Youth Alliance, identifies and secures the funding, oversees the inspection and quality of provision and provides reports to funders’ etc ensuring best value for money. In 2016 0ver 1600 young people took part in regular Friday Night Activities
