The Benny Walker Centre is the new home of Cumbria Youth Alliance, providing a dedicated and welcoming base from which the organisation can continue to support and empower young people across Cumbria.
At the heart of the Centre is the Seascale Youth Room, designed in collaboration with young people to create a space where they can relax, be creative, develop new skills and spend time together in an environment that feels welcoming and inclusive.
Alongside this dedicated youth space, the Centre offers a range of flexible meeting and event facilities, with seven spaces accommodating groups from as few as four people to as many as 150. These spaces are available to businesses, charities, community organisations and other groups looking for a professional, welcoming and accessible venue. Wi-Fi is provided as standard, with screens available in most spaces, alongside a range of additional amenities to support meetings, events, training sessions and community activities.
Named in recognition of Benny Walker and his contribution to young people and the wider community, the Centre represents an exciting new chapter for Cumbria Youth Alliance and its work across the county. The Benny Walker Centre is due to officially open on 25 September 2026, marking an important milestone and creating a valuable new resource for young people, organisations and communities across Cumbria.
