A 3 year project that is offering Level 2 & 3 JNC recognised 'Youth Work' qualifications with the option to progress to degree level. This project will also award grants to organisations providing new youth work opportunities.
Young disabled people are supported by mentors to develop their potential, to become volunteers themselves in their local community of interest. Receiving accredited training they will develop skills to enhance quality of life, build self-esteem and achieve their potential.
Mirroring the adult partnership lead by Groundworks NE & Cumbria. Together We CIC, Spiral, Always Another Way, CADAS and iCan will be delivering vital services to young people to support mental health and wellbeing.
The partnership aims to support up to 800 young people around the agreed agenda of addictions, rurality & isolation, mental health & wellbeing, poverty, and aspirations & transitions.
Access to Friday Night youth clubs from a range of providers, offering young people a 'safe space' and providing them with the skills, knowledge and confidence to avoid risk taking behaviour.
Grants of up to £400 are available to third sector organisations for social action projects that involve young people. Enabling them to participate in community based activity, learning and achieving self-development, enterprise skills and offering accredited learning.
